On May 20-21, 2020 the Center of Excellence AEO “Nazarbayev Intellectual Schools” held the IX Republican seminar “Kazakhstani trainer: experience, collaboration and perspectives”. For the first time, the event of this magnitude was held online.
The theme of the seminar was “Distance learning: how to combine traditions and innovations”. The seminar became a dialogue platform for the exchange of experience with the aim of professional development of trainers, conducting in-service training of Kazakhstani teachers. The development of in-service training of pedagogic staff in the context of distance learning was also discussed.
The number of registered participants was 280 from among the trainers of the Center of Excellence and its branches, as well as the teachers of comprehensive schools of the Republic of Kazakhstan recruited as the trainers.
The seminar was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, experts from the field of education of Russia, Estonia, and Kazakhstan. The seminar focused on organizational and methodological support of distance learning and provided examples of experience in conducting distance learning and methodological support for the teachers in Estonia and Russia. The organization of effective teamwork in remote working conditions was also discussed.
