On November 12, during the second day of the XII International Research-to-Practice Conference “Family, School and Community: Thinking and Acting for a Child” the Center of Excellence held the thematic area “We develop schools for the well-being of children together”.
The section moderator Zhanbota Kabdykarimova presented 5 educational projects successfully implemented together with the partners on sharing experience of Nazarbayev Intellectual Schools and professional development of teachers.
Rauan Kenzhekhanuly, director of Bilim Media Group LLP, Bakhtiyar Krykpyshev, development director of Kazakhmys Corporation LLP, Zauresh Koshchanova, deputy director of college named after Zh. Dosmukhamedov, Dana Baimashova, director of methodical center in Atyrau, Syrym Askarov, director of methodical center in Kyzylorda spoke in the plenary part. The speakers discussed the issues of teacher training, creation of well-being in the educational environment, development of rural schools and promotion of educational initiatives to improve the quality of education.
The event gathered over 500 participants, who then dispersed to regional thematic areas, or “virtual rooms”. Colleagues from West Kazakhstan, North Kazakhstan, Atyrau, Kyzylorda and Karaganda regions worked online. The participants of the area had the opportunity to familiarise in detail with the projects of professional development of teachers: “Modernisation of the content of education and organisation of the educational process in the Higher Pedagogical College named after Zh. Dosmukhamedov”, “Rural School”, “Together to Success”, “Community of Leading Schools”, “Professional Development of Teachers of Karaganda Region with the Support of Kazakhmys Corporation LLP”.
Open dialogue between the participants of the thematic area allowed discussing relevant issues of change management in the school, implementation of changes in teaching and learning, development of digital and research skills of teachers, the interaction of leading schools with partner schools to improve the capacity of teachers.
